In 1987, he joined the Development Bank of Japan (now Development Bank of Japan Inc.), where he was in charge of finance, project planning, and regional development through the Kansai, Regional Development, Urban Development, and Tokai branches. In 2004, he established the Support Center for Technology Management and engaged in technology management support. In 2013, he opened the Future Center (Otemachi Innovation Hub), which was started by a financial institution, and is engaged in value creation through co-creation-type open innovation. He is also involved in research and studies on human resource development, business model development, regional development, and urban development, with a motif of social implementation of innovation.
